Trails of Central Oregon

Tiddlywinks is open again as per USFS. May 14th, 2026.

As of May 1st. Trail is closed from the junction with FS Road 4613 east to the junction with Larsen’s Trail. See map.

Tyler’s is riding pretty nicely right now, but getting kinda dry (for April anyway) in some areas already. Some rain will help. All of the recent logging is allowing way more sun and wind to hit the trail and dry it out faster than the sections of trails that are still under a tree canopy.

Trees cleared.

Update from April 4: many small patches of rideable snow at the top with some water mixed in. Snow free after maybe the first 300 vertical feet of descent.

Sector 16 is closed for logging operations.

Downhill section cleared of the tree at the trail crossing junction.

Large downed tree on climbing route, about 3/4 mile past the trail crossing at the top.

Rode the road up to the cut in by lone wolf junction. All clear from there down. Some debris in the trail on the upper section that might sneak up on ya.

Lots of snow up top and 24 downed trees.
