E-bikes NOT allowed on Bachy West XC
The Bachy West XC trail runs from the Mt Bachlor access road over to an intersection of Metolius Windigo. It has the flavor of the Met Win trail with a high alpine feel, old growth timber, and you will rarely see any other riders. It’s a fun 2 miles that gets you warmed up for the Met Win + Lava Edison ride around Bachelor.

Rode it yesterday. More like 10 trees. Some chainsaw worthy.
4 trees were down this morning but a crew from Bachy was gearing up to head out and clear do should be all clear now.
Best conditions I’ve ever seen on 10/31. Doesn’t appear that 11/1 storm delivered any significant snow at this elevation.

Bachy West from entrance off Mtb 4 lane. A few snow sections up high. Will be gone this week. 3 multiple tree blow down sections that the Bachelor Bike park crew will cut out above Met Win intersection. Cleared of blowdown below Met Win to Sparks Lake trail head. Enjoy.
1+ crunchy, but rideable snow. Several small trees down too. Fun!

Did you happen to ride Bachy East also?
Bachy East is clear from lane to Across from Dutchman snowpark. Also Mtb XC loop. Bachy East will be closed across from Dutchman going towards Sunrise due to parking lot construction this summer.
Cleared about a dozen trees on Bachy West and MtB XC. Still a handful of snow patches that are tough to ride through but they are relatively few and not very long
Cleared all down trees on Bachy West, Bachy East and the MTB XC trails to the intersection with the Met-Win. All clear to Todd creek HC too.
Super sweet! A few small hand saw size trees down and one bigger dead tree mid way down that snapped right at its base and blocked the trail – easy to life your bike over….

Heads up. On Sat 7/21 there is the Under Armour Mt running event with runners coming up the Bachy trails. Should be done around 2 pm.

Rode the BachyXC/MetWin Todd/Flagline Tie loop in perfect post-rain conditions. Not a speck of dust. Oo La La! :)
