The Canyon Trail West runs from the edge of the park along NW Wilcox Ave. down the rim of Smith rock and ends at the bridge in the center of the park. The trail is quite technical (black) when heading down the rim and is blue up above and down at the bottom.

Would have loved to ride this trail – but the top gate/fence is closed and there doesn’t seem to be a way onto the trail any longer. Weird
Great tread, but rattlesnakes!
It looks like the park service has blocked the trail head on this coming from Wilcox Ave. Any one have the inside scoop?
