E-bikes NOT allowed on Homestead
Homestead Trail Is the Eastern entry into Smith Rock, and is far less busy than the main entry down Canyon Trail. Homestead starts out flat and then drops quickly down the steep descent through rocks and switchbacks.
The trail was worked on in 2017 and the raw nature of the trail was turned into easier rock steps when heading down to the first switchback. It’s still challenging and fun and a more exciting way into the canyon. This trail is about as techy as the Canyon Trail West.
