E-bikes allowed on Indigo Extension
The Indigo Extention travels up at a moderate grade to connect with Windy Pass. Grades are steepish yet fairly normal for the area and there are some lovely views looking down on the lake along the way. Swithbacks are tight – but all are rideable.
This class 3 trail is open to dirtbikes and to E Bikes. It is important that dirtbikers are aware of the special nature of these remote trails. DO NOT leave ruts, and do not abuse the area. The local land manager has considering shutting the area down to motorized use if people cannot keep the area as pristine as they found it. If you cannot ride around a tight switchback with a pivot turn, get off your bike and man handle it around the corner.
