E-bikes NOT allowed on Lower Butte Loop

The Lower Butte Loop offers a 11 mile loop opportunity while connecting with the other trail segments in the vicinity. The trail is located on the south and west sides of Black Butte and follows a mixture of logging roads and single track with irregular surfaces.

As you travel the south and west portions you will see towering “yellow belly” Ponderosa pines and Douglas fir trees.

Recent Reports

  1. Bruce Bradshaw

Big log across lower half loop between Suttle Tie connector and upper split.

  2. Bob Zobrist

Rode the Sisters Tie to Indian Ford which was super flat. Bridge is out at Indian Ford so jumped on Hwy. The Lower Butte loop was a mix of single track and fire roads. Signage was ok. One of the signs at the North part of the loop was an old “Trail” sign. The “Sisters Trail” sign would have helped. Extended to Camp Sherman. Overall was 40 miles.
