 E-bikes allowed on Dead Mountain

With its easy access, shaded lines through old-growth timber and lots of elevation loss in just a few miles, Dead Mountain has all the things that make Oakridge trails awesome and it’s a great introduction to the area. Dead Mountain is probably the most flow-oriented trail in the area with great berms, jumpable rollers (with plenty of sidehill to keep you honest), and wide-open speed when you let off the brakes.

The lower section opens up with faster, straighter segments and the corners come up fast when you’re moving at speed, so get ready to jump on the brakes so you don’t overshoot the turns. After five glorious miles of descending you’ll end at the lower trailhead off Salmon Creek Road.

After you ride it once, you’ll probably want to go right back to the top and ride it again.
